Are You A Man Addict?

Happy new year lovers! How was your 2011? I gotta say this past year has been a formative one for me Alhamdullilah. It is one i can honestly say i have grown the most & has helped me see many aspects of my life from a different perspective. One of these 'aspects' is of course is my love life :) thus the heading "are you a man addict?". Because i'm totally not.

I know you are going "Ooookay...." but hear me out. When you've been single for a couple of months, do you panic and say 'oh my God, i'm gonna be alone forever!!" No? Yes? Ok..i've come up with 6 signs that'll help you know if you are an addict or not. Here goes..

1. This sign is obvious. You become heartbroken very fast:  Do you feel devastated when a guy breaks things off after only a few weeks or dates? This only happens when you pin your hopes on him, heartbreak & hope walk hand in hand & if You are a man addict, you let these hopes & expectations get carried away quickly.

2. You change who you are ALOT!: You know the type of girl who would suddenly become a football fanatic because her current love interest is a football player or is into sports? This same girl will throw away all her low cut jeans and tight dresses if her man is the clean cut type or becomes a club rat if her man is a partier. Giving up your identity just to be with someone is a lot to give up.

3. You are always attached.  Never single?? Again, this one is obvious but to some its not. The "i just met someone awesome after my breakup' is a no no. If you are not an addict you'll give yourself time to wallow and digest your feelings after a breakup.

4. Confidence level depends on your love life: Low functioning at work, downer to friends and family when you don't have a man by your side, But when you do, whoaa baby you become miss thing, life of the party and all that. Its fragile because it can all be taken away by a breakup.

5. You have no boundaries. You'll date just anyone, your boss, your bestfriend's ex etc. True, at some point we are all attracted to someone we shouldn't be but only an addict goes for it. End of.

6. Your screws go loose: You text, call, email him telling him just how much you miss him then the next just how much of an asshole you think he is then you change your mind and say you didn't mean it. You want him back then you don't. You are constantly checking his facebook profile, his twitter etc basically yeah..you lose your sanity.

Ehemm...so what's your conclusion? Are you a man addict? As for me..well....

Please Help Save The Life of Adam Sosseh

Hi Lovers. 

This is the hardest post i've had to write since i started blogging because it is about the life of people i consider family, one of my best friends & her little brother. This plea of help from a big sister truly concerned for her little brother's health completely breaks my heart. The 17 year old Adam Sosseh my friend is talking about is someone i know personally, he is one of the most spirited, sweetest, strongest, most intelligent & worldly boy i know. Fondly called Pa sosseh by friends & family, this boy is wise beyond his years and his level of maturity is just amazing. He is sick but he is one with a very strong spirit and imaan (faith), something i've always admired about him.

Pa & I refer to each other as twins because we were both born on July 20th & this has lead to a very strong bond between us. I am older than him but you would think otherwise if you witnessed us 'chilling' on Fridays after i get off work. I would always tease him by telling him 'pa yow danga gog torup!' and he'd always reply with a huge smile and say 'Lots of people tell me that!'. I am blessed to not only have aisha in my life, but pa and her whole family as well.

Please watch and help us make this video here go viral on the internet so that it would not only reach Ellen but all good samaritans willing to help as well.

Single Ladies..Shoes, Fashion, Men & More!!

I know i'm like super late but i just got supplied with the whole 1st season & i literally spent my entire weekend in bed just watching it.  Aji, one of my besties told me about it & i tried watching it online when the first episode aired but since Gambian internet suxx i could only watch like 5 mins of it. So you can imagine how stoked i was when Fatou, another friend of mine hooked me up.

Im like in love with Stacey Dash aka Val, her sense of style & make up are always FLAWLESS!! omg!! Its a shame that she quit & won't be back for season 2...rumour has it that Meagan good might be her replacement, wonder if she'll do a good job though? Everybody thinks its the little 'tiff' Stacey had with LisaRaye aka Keisha that made her leave. I really hope they put whatever personal issues they might have going on aside & make this work for the sake of their fans (yes i'm selfish like that :p).

Three different people who actually do know me very well say Keisha's character reminds 'em of me..i disagree..I think ima cross between Val & Keisha *side eye*

Own a boring pair of heels? Give it the Fabric treatment!

First of, i absolutely adore the world of fashion blogging!! So many blogs,So much inspiration! If you are like me, once you've discovered it, you feel like a kid in a candy store :) 


So i was blog hopping when i came across this fabulosity known as Curvy Geekery & i was stunned! This lady is soo talented and beautiful..i freaking love her! Omg She's like genius!


I own a boring basic black pump and i haven't worn for in such a while because..well i love love colour! LOL & that's why her D.I.Y (do-it-yourself) fabric treatment for shoes was like a miracle to me..i'm so gonna try it! My boring pump will be in exile no more! & ofcourse i couldn't leave you my dahlings out on this great discovery...here's how its done..thank me later! :p

What you need

1. A pair of scissors
2. Glue
3. A fabric you love
4. A shoe, duh!!

So the Curvy Greekery guide is as follows

1. Cut out random patterns from your fabric and glue 'em to the shoe
2. Don't worry about fabric 'dripping' onto the platform of the shoe
3. Have fun with it!!

amber rose! stylish, daring, beautiful. whats not to like??! im half inlove her!lol..ok, some of her choices maybe questionable but i respect her 'dare devil' approach to life, to the media.. Our society is always in a hurry to label everybody, she's been labelled a gold digger (for dating kanye), a slut for choosing to be bi, etc but she still here, making money, living her life AFTER kanye. Ok, mayb kanye helped propel her career as a model or watnot but who is without sin? afterall we all use each other for one 'reason' or the other. My point is, let people who are doing exactly the same thing we would do if we were in their positions be. amen :)
